Digital Art, NFT’s and AI, Oh My!

Join artist and curator Kate MacDonald for an engaging lecture on the world of digital art and the evolving intersection of art and creativity. Kate will cover the fundamentals of non-fungible tokens (NFTs), how they work, and their impact on the art market. She’ll explore the transformative role of AI in art creation and curation and provide insights into the digitally created artwork on display in the gallery.

About the presenter

Kate MacDonald is an award-winning multidisciplinary artist now creating in the NFT (non-fungible token) space. She has been twice recognized as a Top Ten Digital Artist by the Los Angeles Center for Digital Art (2012 and 2017) and has participated in recent cryptoart exhibitions such as Graffiti Queens (Decentraland) and techspressionism’s NFT Now (Kunstmatrix). As a traditional artist, she has exhibited widely, and has been featured in Wired and international editions of GQ magazine. She shares a studio in East Vancouver with fellow artist Les Sears whom she collaborates with as K8L35.
