Sketching, Photography and the Power of Story
June 14 - June 14
4–5:30 p.m.

Join local artist Ian Cunliffe of Sketchy West Vancouver for a lively illustrated lecture as he shares stories of his travels, sketching process, and photographic encounters with the natural world.
A storyteller at heart, Ian captures the essence of growing up and living in West Vancouver through his art. By day, he’s a teacher, but his passion lies in sketching and writing about everyday life on the North Shore. His work highlights the iconic—like the Lions Gate Bridge and the seawall—and the smaller, often-overlooked details that hold deep meaning for locals. Through his playful, nostalgic, and joy-filled sketches, Ian explores our ‘shared sense of place,’ celebrating what makes our community so special.
