Jane Appleby

Jane Appleby was born in the Czech Republic and immigrated to Vancouver in 1969 with her family. She was immediately enthralled by the natural beauty around her. Spending much of her time in nature, Appleby creates expressive paintings that capture what she sees as the “visual music” of the landscape using oils, acrylics, pastels, and watercolors. She lives in Burnaby and Galiano Island, often sketching and painting outdoors.
