Studio Eighteen

Kathy grew up in Sydney, Australia, where she graduated with a BA Design at UTS. She has worked in interior and furniture design, with continuing studies in photography, print making, silversmithing, and ceramics.

Kathy moved to Vancouver, Canada in 2016 and began working with ceramics in 2019, when she established STUDIO EIGHTEEN. Her inspiration is drawn from architecture, from the shapes, shadows, and contrast that these built spaces create. Her work is minimal, with the construction of material and form being the fundamental focus.

Asymmetric designs and contrasting finishes are a feature of her jewellery collection, often leaving a section of raw ceramic exposed. Each piece is handmade with precision in small batches at her home studio.

Creativity is at the core of every project Kathy embarks on.
