Wearable Cross Stitch

Discover the world of cross stitch! In this introductory workshop, you will learn basic cross-stitch skills, techniques, and tips. Ferry Building Gallery exhibiting artist Mallory Donen will demonstrate and guide you through a simple pattern to make a wearable pin or patch using cross-stitch. Suitable for all skill levels, ages 12 and up. All supplies will be provided.
Mallory Donen is a multidisciplinary artist residing in Vancouver. Mallory has a Bachelor of Fine Arts from University of the Fraser Valley, and a Master of Fine Arts from University of Manitoba. Mallory’s art explores the intersection of digital art and embroidery, through processes rooted in traditional craft passed down from generations of women in her family. Some of her artwork will be on display at the Ferry Building Gallery from February 4 to March 1.
