Marianne Hansen

Marianne Hansen is deeply inspired by the raw beauty of the places she has lived, which is reflected in her art. In her studio, surrounded by found natural objects, vibrant colors, and intriguing textures, the creative process unfolds organically. Drawing from her Scandinavian heritage, she applies refined hand skills passed down through generations to create fiber sculptures and mixed-media art.
Using needle and wet felting techniques on handcrafted wire armatures, she blends wool, silk, and other natural fibers to capture intricate details. Each piece is carefully crafted with a palette of hand-blended or hand-dyed natural colors, resulting in highly realistic, tactile works.
Through her art, Marianne expresses a profound connection to nature, finding joy in the process of bringing these natural forms to life.
