Red Cedar Lady

Jessica Silvey is a self-taught weaver of Coast Salish and Portuguese descent from the Silvey Family of Egmont, BC. Raised in the forest alongside her paternal grandmother, she developed a deep connection to cedar and the land. She learned traditional weaving through research and hands-on practice, harvesting and preparing her own materials. For Jessica, weaving is both a passion and a deeply grounding, soul-nourishing practice.
